God’s & America’s Moral Compass Mentor Program

The Program was a joyful success for children under 12 this summer at Fairway Village Apartments in Southwest Dallas. Families were able to choose between two class formats—one aligned with government‑approved apartment policies, and will soon be presented to the public school board. God’s Moral Compass class included bible study with scripture‑based guidance, where the parents could join in the teaching. All of the children were saved, so they got double the treats. There are about 20 of them towards the end. Hallelujah!

Who said moral values can’t be taught outside the home? This summer proved otherwise, and this is just beginning. There is a paradigm shift about to move in the Human Service Profession. God’s moral compass is about to unleash GPServants to change the hearts and minds of the families from broken homes, who are stuck in the cycle of generational cursing.

Throughout the program, students learned what a moral compass is and how it guides their choices every day. Through the principle of contrast—that for every word, action, or behavior, there is an opposite—they explored right and wrong in a way that was simple, memorable, and empowering. Just like they learn to be bad, they can undo that behavior.

Each child discovered that while the Holy Spirit is their guide, they learned that they are the ones who make their own decisions. With this understanding, they gained seeds of wisdom. They learned their moral compass is rooted in the mind—helping them think before they speak or react—and grounded in the heart, where compassion lays and the ability to feel remorse takes shape when they hurt someone.

They are leaving the program with a renewed inner compass—one that encourages thoughtful choices, faith‑centered values, and a deeper awareness of the rewards and consequences that follow their actions. Now that summer has come to an end, I am returning to mentoring in the schools while preparing to complete my freshman year toward my Social Work degree. Serving the community is my passion, and I am committed to continuing this work with purpose and dedication. God’s moral compass is moving to a new season. Coming soon, the curriculum on God’s Moral Compass and America’s Moral Compass Mentor book will be available by the end of the year.
